Ok, so we have a duck  and her ducklings. Orange kitty is friends with mama Duck and her ducklings; the similar color may play here a role. Black/white kitty shares the bed with Orange kitty, but not willing to share their bed with others. Nevertheless, mama Duck can be very "convincing", ...and then there is the heat.  Some extra company definitely comes handy, when temperatures are sinking.
